Mission, Strategy and Company History
Mission
Today's challenge may be to protect the underlying values of entrepreneurship and innovation and to extend them to encompass world-wide community and society. FTS Publications contributes to the information society in providing a platform to exchange learning from practical know-how on e-transformation.
Strategy
- To develop and maintain a WEB site, "e-Consultancy Access";
- To provide access to a 'knowledge base', instrumental for consultants, business professionals, educators, students and -generally- anyone, who's trade, profession or practice requires regular access to practical, structured know-how;
- To create a business through WEB-based access and addition to the 'knowledge base' that resides on the WEB site;
- To create a community of developers, technicians, managers and other professionals, who want to take part in the development of the e-Consultancy business;
- To offer services, including:
dedicated interactive functionality to access and to add experience;
between visit-interactivity through WEB-based database functionality;
printeable and downloadable cross sections from the knowledge base;
edited virtual communities and 'Meetings of Minds' on specific fields of interest;
- To offer products, including:
paper "How this site was made", documenting the building and development of the site and the business model;
software package for business clients who want to have their own copy to work with in their own environment.
Company History
FT&S Publications was incorporated in 1995. It is a sister company of FT&S Consultancy (1992), both privately owned.
FT&S Publications, originally, was in the business of disseminating analyses and context reports on e-technology developments in Europe and the US. They include research and studies on trends, breaktrough start-ups, investment opportunities and the application of national and European government R&D programmes. FT&S Publications is partner of US-based specialized publishers. Clients are private investors, government agencies and firms with specific interest in linking start-ups to their R&D departments. The firm works on multi-client assignments and contracts the requested research to networks of consultancies, software engineering firms and academic institutions. In 2001 the company founded the present WEB-based activity for knowledge exchange. |
